Looking Mask Making Workshops, Photography or Carnival Arts Workshops?
See, Feel, Create…Let Imagination Run Free with our Visual Arts Workshops
Treat your young people to a day with a difference by booking one of Trap Media’s exciting Visual Arts Workshops. Whether they prefer photography, design or hands-on creation, we have a workshop to fit, giving children a rare chance to explore their creative sides and discover a whole new dimension of self-expression.
There is an impressive selection of workshops to choose from, including drawing and illustration, collage making, sculpture and photography. Perhaps budding Spielbergs would like to try their hand at shooting a film, or you may prefer a mask making workshop to tie in with a cultural awareness day. Whatever you choose for your students, you can expect our workshops to be educational, inspiring and fully interactive. Most visual arts workshops will culminate in the presentation of the students’ own creations.
Although we can call upon over a thousand talented contemporary artists to facilitate our workshops, we strongly encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment. With prices starting from just £260, we offer an affordable solution to budget conscious schools and corporations.
We also have a robust child protection policy in place (see below), to give you peace of mind.

Henna Workshops
The ancient Indian practise of henna art is taking the west by storm, so our henna workshops are sure to be a big hit. Participants will learn all about the fascinating uses that this plant dye has been put to. Often used to decorate the hands and feet of brides, henna has also found its place in religious practise, healing, fashion, beauty and self-expression.
Participants will even have the chance to create and apply their own henna body art. Don’t worry; henna is a safe, painless and temporary way to adorn the body.
Carnival Arts - Mask/Costume/Bead Making Workshops
From the distinctive masks of Venice to the extravagant costumes and floats of Rio, carnival time displays human creativity and self-expression at its very best. Now you can introduce your school or organisation to the fascinating world of the carnival arts.
As always, our workshops are designed to be fully interactive, with participants able to create and try on their own masks, headdresses, costumes and other accessories. At the same time, they will learn some of the intriguing cultural meanings that lie behind the representations (for example, the spiritual associations of traditional African masks).

Origami Workshops
We are all fascinated by the Japanese art of origami, the creation of elegant and intricate sculptures through the folding of paper. The scope of origami is vast and artists have turned their hand to everything from bulls, elephants, dragons and cranes to bonsai trees, roses and abstract geometrical shapes.
Origami Flower Making Workshop @ Lampton SchoolOur fun and informative origami workshop can be tailored to all ages and levels of ability, and is ideal for people with learning disabilities. Participants will learn step-by-step instructions on how to create impressive decorative pieces as well as functional sculptures that can be used as toys or presented as gifts.
Origami engages mathematical and problem-solving skills, and so provides a stimulating and educational experience for everyone. Far from being a pointless hobby, origami has led to some useful innovations, including airbag and satellite deployment technology.

Dear Trap Media. Thank you for sending such amiable and professional workshop leaders (Origami Worshops and Indian Drumming) to us this week! Could you pass my thanks on to them, I have had nothing but positive reviews from all of the staff and students who had the chance to be in the sessions.
Kind Regards
F. Melmoe – East Surrey College
Dear Trap media, just a note to say thank you very much for sourcing Wendy for our beadmaking workshops at Wychwood Festival at Cheltenham racecourse.
She was fantastic, and was very popular - the children loved the workshops and the jewellery they were able to make. The workshops really contributed to the success of our exhibit so many thanks. No doubt we will have more festivals lined up in future, so will be in touch when we have some more dates for the exhibit confirmed.
Many thanks

Dear Trap Media, Just to let you know overall all 38 workshops provided for the Girl Guide celebrations were excellent! The facilitators were all very pleasant and several commented that they had learned a lot about the Guide movement. I would definitely recommend you to others.
Best wishes,
