“Dear Trap Media just to let you know the corporate drumming workshop sessions was great. Very well delivered, engaging and went down very well. The master drummer was very good and should be commended…Strangely, I did a similar event 3 days later from Drum Cafe which was not as good.

“…the feedback has been brilliant all the kids were really enriched by the dance workshops and learnt new and exciting skills they have never tried before. Trap Media has been very supportive and loyal partners of Dance for life and it has been a pleasure working with them.
Laura Deacon – Red Cross Dance for Life Coordinator
Dear Trap Media,The Musical Theatre Workshops offered by were excellent. We have a very difficult client group here, which often means they are hard to engage and their appointments with therapists etc leads to last minute timetable changes, but none of this phased Leanne and the end result was a fabulous mini production of the Lion King. Thank you very much for once again providing an excellent service!
S Belenger - Enrichment Co-ordinator - Totton College PRU
I would like to say that we were very satisfied with you African Drumming Performance and Workshop and th African Drummer had a great way with the children. Thanks again I will recommend this service to other organisations.
D Holt - Nursery Manager
Just to let you know the kids (and staff) thoroughly enjoyed the Musical Theatre Workshops and have learned a great deal from both of your facilitators. They are now working on their performance pieces - in fact I have never seen them so motivated. I am also currently organizing a trip to see Chicago with them. Please pass on my thanks and gratitude to your staff. It really is not easy to motivate some of our students and they should both be proud at how quickly they formed such good relationships with our young people. I would not hesitate to recommend them for future projects.
T Tigwell - College Hall Pupil Referral
Dear Trap media, just a note to say thank you very much for sourcing Wendy for our beadmaking workshops at Wychwood Festival at Cheltenham racecourse.
She was fantastic, and was very popular - the children loved the workshops and the jewellery they were able to make. The workshops really contributed to the success of our exhibit so many thanks. No doubt we will have more festivals lined up in future, so will be in touch when we have some more dates for the exhibit confirmed.
Many thanks

Dear Trap Media, just to let you know the workshops went went really really well. Both she (Gina Chinese Dance Workshop) and the drummer (George African drumming) had to work hard under really difficult conditions, I was really surprised at how well they did. The fact that they were able to get such a large amount of people to join in was amazing. To put it in perspective, we had two other activities throughout the week and neither were able to get the response your two managed.
T. Shindo – Hertford Regional College, Ware.
...... the Enterprise Workshops went down really well. I didn't stay for the whole session but comments from the participants and supervisors were all great, the participants enjoyed the chance to speak to someone who has worked in the City and were very enthusiastic about the business game they took part in during the workshop.
D. Rocks, Outreach Officer, Widening Participation Unit, London South Bank University, London.
Dear Trap Media, Just to let you know overall all 38 workshops provided for the Girl Guide celebrations were excellent! The facilitators were all very pleasant and several commented that they had learned a lot about the Guide movement. I would definitely recommend you to others.
Best wishes,
Eirlais Tomkins (Mrs), Girlguiding Wolverhampton
Dear Trap Media, the Indian Drumming Workshops was great and very well received. It gave a simple steering of guests from one spot to another less a chore and an odd interruption to procedures, into a fun ‘pied piper’ parade.
Many Thanks
M. Garside, PR Manager, Radian, HANTS

Dear Lydia,
Suffice to say George lived up to the recommendation. The children had a great time and George was very willing to fit in with our needs (including working in a very restrictive space as the party proved so popular). I would very much like to book a African drumming and dance workshop with George next year so will be in touch when the event is planned and hopefully he will be available.I will pass the word around about George and will be in touch sometime in 2010.
J Murphy - Melcombe Children Centre, London
Dear Trap Media,

The artist was superb and the service you provided was exceptional. The Children are still buzzing about it they really enjoyed leaning and practicing their new Flamenco dance skills. I hope you wouldn't mind us getting in touch for another Spanish Day Celebration Event.
M Waobikeze - St Bedes Catholic School - Redbridge
Dear Trap Media, We had a fantastic day on Sunday and I would like to say how marvelous the African Drumming workshops were. None of our young people have experienced African Drumming before or anything like it before. We were all so impressed by the couple who came and managed to smile and be constantly enthusiastic all day! Thank you Trap Media and I will sing your praises to all from now on.
A. Williams - Principal Youth Officer, Devon St John Ambulance, Devon
Hi there,
The lady who ran the Bollywood dance workshop was very nice and knowledgeable especially regarding the history of the style. Letting pupils try on the outfits was a good exciting opportunity for them. Thanks once again for organising it as I realise it was very short notice, so we are very grateful for your fast response in getting in touch and making the necessary arrangements.
Many Thanks

Dear Trap Media,We wanted a general awareness for our pupils on the issues of crime and how to avoid it influences through drama based workshops. The facilitator was extremely professional, helpful and informed on the motivating influences for crime within the young people."

Dear Trap Media.... I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work at the xl Celebration Event. The feedback for the Music Workshops I have had so far has been amazing and if it hadn’t been for your positive attitude on the day and the flexibility to work with such a large and varied group of young people the event wouldn't have gone as well as it did. Hope you enjoyed the day also and hope you won’t mind us getting in touch for the next xl Celebration Event!"
K Luttrel - Xl Coordinator The Princes Trust
Hi Lydia, Thanks for the email, the African drumming and Junk Percussion workshops went very smoothly and both facilitators were great, very interactive which is just what we were looking for. If we do decide to do a similar series of workshops I'll be sure to check out your website.

T Morris - Head of Music - Harris City Academy, London![]()
Dear Trap Media,
J just to let you know the workshop was brilliant! The organisation of the event, before and on the day, was efficient and everyone I spoke to when arranging it was helpful. It was the second year that Mohammed has done this African Drumming workshop with us and he was really in-tune with, and sensitive to, the special needs of our pupils. Mohammed managed the group and the structure of the session very effectively; with even the most self-conscious teenagers joining in, smiling and feeling they had achieved something. He has a great sense of humour and his enthusiasm was a joy to watch.
J. Chalk, Head teacher - Royal Free Hospital Children's School
The African Drumming workshops went really well, I was very impressed, George was a fantastic instructor and really motivated the young people, some of which had extensive additional learning needs.
The session were well structured but flexible for the y/p needs, and all the y/p engaged. The school has received good feedback from the y/p and the staff attending, i will forward this on if they send it to me.Thanks again, and we are still trying to arrange two more schools to be involved, i will be in touch soon.
D. Foster, Youth Worker - Walthamstow Youth Support Services, London.
Dear Trap Media,
The drama workshop was fantastic and I can’t express how well these sessions went. Natalie has an excellent ability to build rapport with the 16+ age group. Although I was concerned that the activities would not be well received by our students Natalie managed to get everyone involved, even the most challenging of students. I feel that each student would have taken something away with them after Natalie’s drama workshops. Some of the tutors that booked on have requested that we use Natalie again.
A Homerstone - Student Liaison Advisor Guildford College, Surrey
Dear Trap, I’m not sure if Yve has contacted you since we had the African Drumming workshop on 24th October. But the session was excellent, the African drummer (Mohamed) was interactive, friendly and had the group engaged to the African Drumming Workshops. Many thanks for a fabulous African experience!

Dear Trap Media, Many thanks for arranging our African drumming workshops at Quintessentially Soho at The House of St Barnabas on Thursday 5th November. We have had such a great feed back from the children and teachers saying how much fun they had learning how to play the Djembe drum and learning the significance of drumming in African culture. It was a pleasure to meet with George and we are so pleased with the great success of the morning.
The end result was such a fun and stimulating experience and it was great note on which to start the Quintessentially Soho community workshops at The House of St Barnabas. Many thanks again to both of you for all your help and support in arranging such a great African drumming workshop. Please pass on my personal thanks to George for being such an enthusiastic drumming workshop leader.
S.White - Quintessentially Foundation
Dear Lydia,
The workshops were great! The children had a great time mask making on Friday and several very colourful masks were produced. The leader appeared very knowledgeable and was great with the children. We have yet to fully evaluate the overall event but I heard of no concerns or issues re this workshop.
Thanks & best wishes,

Hi Lydia, generally all the workshops were well received.
The African drumming workshop (Mohammed) was very popular. It was a pleasure to watch students with low self esteem flourish in the african dance workshop. Our Head teacher was particularly impressed and we are hoping there will be an article in the local press! We received a subsidy from Academy funds to pay for the day and would hope to organise it as a regular annual event depending on continual funding!

Dear Lydia
The drama and drumming workshop was great – the leader picked up the level the girls were at very quickly and was able to challenge them and make the experience very informative and fun – his manner was gentle, yet authoritative. We are hoping to book further workshops for the summer term for younger pupils, but as yet do not have confirmed dates.
Best wishes

Dear Trap Media,
We had a brilliant day and the practitioners were skilled, approachable and performed a brilliant showcase with the pupils at the end that really had a carnival feel! We especially enjoyed the Caribbean Dance workshop and the Drummer who was amazing! We would welcome them back anytime.

Jasmine (Street dance with Anti bullying theme) was excellent with the children. Calm, strong and respectful. They loved the dance and got a lot of out the whole session. As a teacher I entered the session stressed and left relaxed and positive.
It was well prepared, fun and easy to join in with. Impressive. The staff were all very pleased with the workshop. Many thanks

Thank you for the Street Dance workshop last week. It was excellent. High energy and pitched just right for a very mixed ability group. Thanks to Lizzie.
R. Boswell - Head of Drama. Ellesmere College, Shropshire
The morning sessions went well with the Street Dance being the most popular with Harlington. The boys were amazing and took part in all three sessions. All in all the majority enjoyed the morning.

"I would like to thank the street dancer who came to Colham Manor Primary School on Monday 30th June. The feedback from the staff and children was Excellent. We really appreciate you being able to provide us with someone of that high standard, and at such short notice"
L. Rees - Colham Manor Primary School...The four artists you provided were very professional and keen to impart their expertise to the eager students at Gloucester School. Students continually passed comment on the wonderful experiences they had received and staff couldn't get enough.
All artists worked with warmth and humour and this encouraged everyone to take part; I was in shocked to witness two very shy students relaxed and smiling as they performed their African dance Workshop and numerous students volunteering to take part in the final performance when they usually shy away from performing in front of their peers.
The finale was amazing, although you really needed to be their. All students and staff dancing and singing together in the hall (we really didn’t care what we looked or sounded like!). Thanks Again
J. McDonald - Ministry of Defence (MOD) – Gloucester School, Germany
I would just like to leave some huge positive feedback for Oumar after our AMAZING workshops lat week. Some kids were sneaking out of other activities to repeat his African drumming workshops!!! Year 9 pupils were singing and dancing and saying that it was the most amazing thing that they had ever done! Staff were begging to help out and join in. Please let him know how happy we were.

"I wanted to pass on many thanks to Lydia who did a fantastic day of African dance workshops - I've had nothing but great comments from all who were involved. Many thanks from the staff and the children at Aylward."
R. Patel Aylward F&M School
"Thank you for a fantastic day of demonstrations (for our foundation classes) and of Chinese Dance workshops. Sin-Man was an absolute star and totally captivated the children with her beautiful fan dance and the amazing ribbons! Such beauty and skill took our breath away.
Sin-Man engaged each group of children appropriately and gave them a fabulous opportunity to try the ribbon dances.
Part of my role as subject leader is to speak to the children and ask what they learnt in our week studying China , and what they particularly enjoyed doing. Obviously they all loved the food sampling that we did, and the kite making, but without exception, every child I spoke to talked about the ribbon dance as their favourite activity of all.
Thank you Si-Man for a lovely lovely day, and thanks to everyone at Trap Media for excellent planning and communication; you made organising this day really straightforward (as were last year`s African Drumming workshops).
M. Bowman - Kents Hill Infant School, Essex.
Good morning Lydia,
The Chinese Dance workshop was a success yesterday; Gina was fantastic with the 3 classes she worked with during the workshop. Gina exposed the pupils to this fascinating culture (the calendar and what year it is and the dance styles) and got them involved in the dancing as well. The year 4 & Reception teachers were full of praise about what she did with the pupils.Thank you for this positive experience.
C. Freese, Deputy Headteacher - Merrylands Primary School, Essex.
The Sex Education workshop was a big success and Shay was very well prepared. We would be delighted to use your services again. Many Thanks!
A. Pancholi - Uxbridge High School
Although my class did not participate in the Anti Bullying workshop I was able to pop in for 5 minutes to observe and I was impressed with what I saw. Similarly, having spoken to the children and staff involved, they reported that the behaviour of the children was well managed, they were engaged at all times and learnt vital skills including how to read and use body language.
We look forward to working with Trap Media again in the future, and would like to be informed of any upcoming curriculum related workshops.
D. Lemmon - Beulah Junior School, Thornton Heath
Just a quick message to say that our staff thought the Body Percussion workshop was brilliant! Ollie was wonderful.
Thank you so much!
I look forward to our next Samba Drumming workshop in May.
D. Whelan - Woodlands County Junior School, Essex.
I just wanted to write to you today to thank you again very much for supporting our conference yesterday by providing 2 great workshops (Mask Making and Collage). It was great to see so many people getting involved and lose their inhibitions (especially with some people who we would not normally see this happen with) – especially in the mask making workshop!
Once again, much thanks for your support.
S. Crockett, Participation Co-ordinator - Cymryd Rhan, Wales.Overall the feedback for the Hip Hop Drumming event has been good! Everyone enjoyed themselves and they thought it was very engaging and it got everyone involved. Everyone felt the drummers were very confident and were great at teaching everyone the basics. It was a success!
Thank you very much for all your help.
A. Yuill - The Partners, London
Both workshops, the African dance and the Indian drumming were excellent and our children really enjoyed the experience of watching and participating. The workshops were also a fantastic addition to our international arts week activities and we have shown photographs to the parents of the children taking part in them.
This is the second time that we have used your company and both times we have not only been very impressed with the content of the workshops but also with the punctuality and professionalism of your staff.
Thank you!
C. Catley, Deputy Headteacher - Dollis Infant School , London.
We had a really good day yesterday. All the staff and children thought it was brilliant and I know those taking part in the African Drumming workshops were really impressed with what was achieved in such a short time. It was an experience that I'm sure will be remembered for a long time.
Kwashie was really helpful and he arrived in good time to set up for the day. His instruments were impressive and he was great with all the children. I'm sure we will want to have many more days like this in the future.
Thanks for your help.
S. Morris, Walsall Wood school, Walsall.
Martin, the professional drummer who came to take workshops all day here at Lady Eleanor Holles was absolutely fantastic.
As one of our Year 6 pupils said as she left her session – “He’s so COOL!”.
All the pupils, and staff, thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.
Each session was aimed just right for our pupils and they responded very well to Martin.
I also invited him to listen to part of our Choir practice at lunchtime, as we have been learning an African part song. Martin happily came along and accompanied the girls on several of his drums. This was inspirational and brought extra smiles to all.He shows an obvious love for the djembe and other drums and also a great love for his country, Ghana.
Thank you Martin for working so hard to give us such a wonderful day.
V. Barnes, Music co-ordinator - The Lady Eleanor Holles school, Middlesex.
Unfortunately I was out of school at a conference last Thursday and Friday and so missed the African storytelling day. However I didin't need to ask how it went because everyone was talking about it!! (Teachers, support staff, children!!).
All staff were very impressed - children absolutely loved it and I'm so glad I chanced upon your website and you were able to fit us in at such short notice - it was just what we wanted!!
Please thank your facilitator - he obvioisly did a fantastic job.
E. Kus - Thorpe Primary School, Wakefield.
It was absolutly brilliant. George was fantastic, all the children and teachers involved in the African Drumming workshop loved it.

The African drumming workshop was excellent. The students loved it and we would definitely have you back! He managed to entertain the whole school for a week! Thanks again, a great day!
D. Wood, Community Development Manager - New Bridge School, Oldham.
We enjoyed the African storytelling workshop. George's stories were captivating and very interesting. He especially appealed to the black boys in our school.
I. Mara - Chase Lane Primary School and Nursery Unit, London.
The Indian Drama, Storytelling and Dance workshop was very good. She taught the children the complex dances very well. It surprised me how much they could learn in one day actually. She also gave them lots of additional information which enhanced the day.
She had a nice warm manner with the children.
We had a great day. The presenter was very good.
A. Burns, Kerem School, London.
The Bollywood dance workshop was brilliant, everyone was in stitches all day. He really was funny and very good at dancing! The children were buzzing and after he made us teachers get up and dance they were on even more of high, think we're all aching a bit today from it!!! :)
The tai chi was great also, he was quite a hit on all the female staff!!
The children have thoroughly enjoyed both days.
L. Abbas, Monks Abbey Primary School, Lincoln
We have some positive feedback on the Chinese Dance workshop!
The first session was a parent session with their child. The parents really enjoyed it. One parent said " Really good, really interestsing and very energetic!" We had quite a good number of parents join in.The children appeared to enjoy it as did some of the staff. We will definately be booking for next year!
