Our highly skilled and dynamic corporate drumming facilitators are authentic master drummers from Ghana, Senegal, Cameroon, Cuba and Brazil; conducting vibrant and energetic sessions suitable for participants of all abilities. Using traditional authentic drums such as the Dejembe drum and percussion instruments from West Africa or Brazil, the session leave participants empowered, motivated and inspired. West African Drumming:

By far the most popular and easy to learn form of hand drumming, West African rhythms can be learnt easily through our master drummers from Ghana & Senegal. We will provide everyone with a Djembe drum and take the participants through a body rhythm workshop, leading in to a traditional composition involving multiple parts. Everyone will be able to play an instrument. The end result is a powerful sound and highly stimulating experience

Brazilian Samba Drumming:

From the street carnivals of Rio, Samba drumming envelopes all your senses and the Samba orchestra comprises of participants learning a multitude of different instrument from small Agogo bells to huge Surdo drums. This drumming is for marching and the combined rhythmic patterns are easy to learn. Once the rhythms are learnt, everyone will gain a great sense of achievement and be swept up by the exotic sounds of Latin America

What Happens At Our Corporate Drumming workshops?

All our workshops can be customised to meet your organisation individual needs; however a typical corporate drumming workshop consists of:

I) The workshop starts with an introduction to the culture of the music by understanding how traditional/indigenous music groups used hand drumming as an effective team building and communication tool.

II) A drum circle is created, where participants sit in a circle with their own drum or percussion instrument. During the warm up the drummer will lead the group through a few musical exercises to get comfortable with the drum and learn the vocal commands along with the drumming.

III) The groups are split into different rhythm parts using voice, drums and hand clapping.

IV) A musical piece is created by the end where all the participants are part of the orchestra.

V) By the end of the session all participants will understand natural rhythm through simple movement session using hand clapping/ keeping time with feet/singing rhythms.

The focus of these events is on encouraging each ‘TEAM’ to recognise & support ‘individuality’ within their team structure; whilst at the same time maintaining group awareness towards achieving the overall goal.
