The 2020 Dreams Project is a specialist not for profit program by Trap Media which provides a workshops where participants can tackle potentially sensitive & controversial issues. So What is bullying?Bullying involves an initial desire to hurt, this desire is expressed in action, someone is hurt, the action is directed by a more powerful person or group, it is without justification, it is typically repeated, and it is done so with evident enjoyment.
Bullying is an imbalance and misuse of power between individuals or groups.. This behaviour is repeated over time and comes in many different forms.
Bullying can take many different forms:
Bullying can occur in including psychological forms, emotional, social or physical harassment of one student by another at school or within the school community. This includes at school and within its grounds, in transit between school and home, local shopping and sporting centres, at parties or local parks and in cyberspace. The playground is the most common place for bullying to occur.
Our 2020 dreams Anti Bullying workshops offers challenging interactive solutions drama and theatrical based workshops that explore the issues surrounding bullying and its solutions.Bullying can destroy children's lives. The consequences of it can vary widely, from making children upset or unhappy to, in rare cases, suicide.
Our Anti Bullying Workshop Aims
Identify various types of bullying such as physical, psycho-emotional, cyber-bullying, verbal, racism, age and effective ways of tackling it.
Talk about their personal experiences of bullying and its negative impact. Identify how participants can deal with bullying situations positively and constructive manner.
Identify sources of help when confronted with bullying.
Work with a professional actor in role plays, to act out bullying scenarios that have directly affected the young people and identify possible solutions in the following areas below.
Our bullying workshops encourage bullying awareness and aim to empower young people with the skills to tackle bullying using their creativity and imagination. This is a fun and enjoyable workshop that uses a fresh approach to tackle this age old sensitive problem.
How Do our Anti-Bullying Workshops Work?
The workshop begins with drama role plays run by a professional expert facilitator to introduce the topic, and prepare the participants for a group discussion on the different forms of bullying.
Participants are then encouraged to try to find practical solutions to deal with the issues. The workshop will consider other issues such as racism, exclusion, why people bully and where and how individuals can get help if being bullied.
Also covered are important areas such as conflict resolution and resisting peer pressure. In this interactive workshop participants will learn the key ingredients needed to create an atmosphere of zero tolerance towards bullying in classrooms and schools.
